Today I had a chance to snow shoe the new rail trail from Red Wing Farm (and around the farm) to the center of town. It took a couple of hours but its was all flat and easy to do. If you want to see the photos of what the Rail Trail looks like in winter this click on the link below.

Jim and I did a tour of the sites in town and got some great pictures of Deep Brook and the Waterfall in Chelmsford center. To get the photos of the water fall I had to walk out on the frozen Stream.
Jim Water Looks pretty cold (Ice breaks under Phil and he plunges up to his knees in icy water) Phil Sure is (Both laugh as Phil Drags him self out of the water) A Ture Story Click here for Photos Holiday fun at Thankgiving Forest.Posted by: pstanway on Monday, December 31, 2007 - 12:54 AM

Well looks like the festive fun has moved to Janet road. This morning I picked up about a dozen bottles smashed in the street. None of the damage was on the property but on the Town road in front of the property. I cleaned up most of the broken glass but be careful parking in the area. Both ConCom and CPD have been notified and hopefully increased patrols in the area will stop this. The removal of the fire pits ect has cleaned up the property and now we hope the CPD can handle the issue on the main road I figure the kids where there for a few hours at least.
Note: If you do see trash please buzz me (978-273-1474) and we will report it and send in a cleanup crew.

I am looking into when the Open Space lots will be cleared. Big storms and Holidays kinda put us at the end of the list. As it stands Crooked Springs, Quarry ,Russel Mill and BB Wright are open but need 4 wheel drive. Thanksgiving and Red wing Fully Open. The Bog is totally closed. I have not had a report on Deep Brook so No idea on that one. Jim and I will see what we can do next week about these sites.
Note: BB Wright has been cleared.
