Who was that dope on tv?

School_News
Ok so I am an awful public speaker… That’s why I spend so much time in the woods… just me and my Chain saw. As I said last night if you are a small group and would like a tour of any of the open spaces I am happy to do so. E-mail me and we will set up a time. I will be doing a walk this Thursday at 3pm at Thanksgiving forest (Janet Road). I will cover basic history of the site, mail markings and point out some new trail work and how and why it was built. It a Scout walk but we have a bunch of extra people coming (16 scouts +10 adults).

To explore more of what we have to offer click the icon of the camera and explore the 5000 pictures of Chelmsford.

Here is the powerpoint from last night incase you want to take a closer look

Be warned one of the Stewards came apon a hunter in Russel Mill last week. This hunter was unaware that Chelmsford does not allow hunting on Conservation land. We will repost signage but it might be best to wear RED when in the forest untill hunting season closes.

A Bridge (Moved) too Far.

Posted by: pstanway on Monday, September 08, 2008 - 11:16 AM 377 Reads
Construction
Well it looks like Crooked Springs got the worst of the storm. We are not sure why but it seems a lot of extra water rushed down the stream. A bridge that has stood for over 15 years was picked up and pushed 45 degrees. Large amounts of growth in the main pond was also picked up as if a back hoe had been at work and dumped in the main pond. Thanks to Jim, Steve, Bob G for comedown to help move the bridge back to its original location. We will be out today cutting the downed trees at Wright and Thanksgiving and hopefully everything will be back up and running by Monday afternoon.
