We suddenly have an antique trash problem at Wright:

Come by Saturday at 10 and help clean up. We'll be by the Hedge Maple (tree #11) on the tree walk.

The town will have a new beach\Open Space soon but right now it is full of junk. Sat June 6 starting at 9 am will be clean up day at the site and we can use everyone who wants to help. Scout Troops and families are invited. The quicker the place is clean the quicker the town can let residents use this site It should not take more than a few hours to pick up all the trash and toss it in the dumpster. The flier that has arrived in your mail box about the Slow growth has my name as one of the signers. Be assured I did not sign this and in fact I was assured my name was NOT on the material. We do support preserving open space. They flier is offensive. You can disagree with someone but you should still show respect to person and the office they hold. I am not sure if I should use mine in the cat litter box or the bath room. We also sometimes disagree with the town but we would never stoop to this low level.

Ahh yes the wonderful residents who drive to the open space parking lots and toss bags of leafs over the fences are back. Why pick up all of them from your yard drive to a conservation area and toss them there? What will happen if you are seen? Simple a nice big fine from the conservation officer start at $100 and maybe even $100 per bag. Will they be enforced? You bet they will even if I have to go to every town meeting and committee meeting for the next 6 months. We are on the look out and if you see anything buzz me 978-273-1474. Record the plate or just snap a digital photo and we will take it from there.

Today was a great day. Not a good day but a great day. First off I want to thank Tony and the Geo cachers for showing up in force. Not only did they show up but they had donuts and coffee and water!. The Geo Cache community is a community that gives back and we will continue to support them 110%. We also want to that Chelmsford Scouts who also showed up in force (two Girl Scout troops and two Boy Scout troops) and the Stewards who continue to support each other. The work party ran from 8 am to 3pm and the entire site of several hundred aches was totally scoured. The coffee was from Java Mamma’s in Westford and was from beans roasted Friday night. Everyone agreed that starting the day with fabulous coffee blue skies , turning trees and a view of Mill pond was the only way to start the day.

I will post photos later tonight or Sunday but I can not say enough how proud I am to be part of this program. Everyone did an amazing job and my hat is off to you all.
